A banknote of the Bank of Mongolia. The bank first issued this denomination in 1993, and the design has been updated 3 times since, by the bank's own table. The obverse shows a lion. The reverse shows the Soyombo, the state symbol of Mongolia.
The most interesting security features are a metal thread in the paper, a multitonal watermark with a highlight feature and engraved intaglio printing.
The togrog is collected by the updated versions of one denomination, by year of printing and by signature — the small denominations have nine such versions each. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
Every item in the VPcoins catalogue tells a small story about its country and era.
